The giveaway winner
I almost forgot to tell you who won the book! The winner has already been contacted via e-mail and will soon have her new book. A big congratulations to Nilla!
Thank you, everyone, for taking part in this giveaway -- the most popular by far on this blog -- and better luck next time. Giveaways are fun so I hope to be able to do many more of them in the future.

GIVEAWAY: A-Z of Bead Embroidery
In association with Country Bumpkin (publisher of "the world's most beautiful embroidery magazine, Inspirations), I'm giving away a copy of today's reviewed book, A-Z of Bead Embroidery.
A-Z of Bead Embroidery, part of Country Bumpkin's popular A-Z series of embroidery books, is a book for beginners wanting to learn how to bead on cloth, but the many inspirational projects also makes the book a good read for those already familiar with the basic techniques. The book include many techniques, including less common ones like tambour beading, padded beading and beadpoint (needlepoint with beads). The projects are divided into two chapters, one with different (often floral) motifs and one with bead fringes and edgings. You can read more about the book in my review here.
Does this sound like a book you want to read? Then don't hesiste, but fill in the bilingual entry form below for your chance to win this book. The giveaway is open to everyone, everywhere (as long as the postal service can reach you, of cause). If you can't see the form, please click here to fill it out.
NB! I'm not doing any "tweet/blog/facebook/pin this for extra chances" this time, but if you want to share this giveaway with people you think might be interested, help me spread the word, it is very appreciated! Feel free to borrow my photo above and/or in the sidebar.
Last day to enter is 28th September!

It's time: The Birthday Giveaway
I've been saying for a long time that I want to do a giveaway. I've won several giveaways over the year so I feel it's only right to give some back. Besides, it's just as much fun to give as it is to get. As today is my 30th birthday, it felt like a good day to do this.
For this giveaway I focused on doing something personal. This isn't a big giveaway, nor does it include expensive and exclusive things. Instead I wanted to add some things found or made (i.e. etched or tumbled) by me to the store bought beads. Here's a list of everything the lucky winner will get:
- Dyed freshwater pearls ("dancing" nuggets)
- Bronze tags
- Old Swedish copper coin
- Bronze coloured plastic sequins
- Mother-of-pearl bead with motif etched by me
- Onyx pendant with butterfly motif etched by me
- Hand-painted (not by me) faux pearls
- Sea glass from the Bjäre coast
- Tumbled grey flintstone from Bjäre
- Crackled agate leaf pendant (as seen in this post)
- Tumbled glass pebble
If you want a chance to win this giveaway just write a comment answering this question:
Give me some positive feedback: say something you like about my blog.
It can be a detail you like, your general impression, something about the layout or the content, anything. It doesn't matter if you're visiting the blog for the first time or are a long time follower, I'd love to hear what you think.
You can also say something about my other blog, Manekis Pärlblogg, if you prefer that. (Constructive negative feedback is also useful, but hey, it's my birthday after all so let's just focus on the positive today.)
Bonus point: If you are a follower (of Wild roses and blackberries or Manekis Pärlblogg) and/or share this giveaway on your blog, Facebook, Twitter, forum etc you may add a comment saying so for an additional chance to win. Why? Followers because it makes me happy to see that people like the blog and followers are a visual reminder of that. Sharing because I believe in "the more, the merrier" -- and maybe by doing so you'll give me new readers and followers. Please note, you may only add one extra comments per person, no matter if you both follow and share or share multiple times.
You have one week from today to enter this giveaway. I will draw a winner and publish the name on Nov. 11th.
Good luck!
